I got shot.

Today was a day for the history books. Why? Because I got my last and final immunization in preparation for Brazil. It was the last in the Hepatitis B series. I’m pretty sure the nurse threw the needle at my arm too, like a dart. I swear I felt her have to grab it after it was hanging off.
For those wondering, I was required to get MMR, TDP, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Flu, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Meningococcal Meningitis shots.
Amounting to 12 different pokes. I felt like a pin cushion. Especially since I got six of them on one blessed day in January. Three in each arm. And I don’t even want to talk about how much each of these needles costs. Yikes.
48 more days…
